SHOCKING TRAGEDY.
A PATHETIC) LETTER. (Received La'st Nig;li£, 9.30' o'clock.) ■ SYDNEY, Feb.; 25. At the inquest on the bodies of Mrs Osborne (who took poison) and of her son, whom she ishot with another child, the •evidence showed that the mother, who used a. pea-rifle, fatally isjiot a boy 2* years old, and severely injured * another aged four. She then wounded herself, and! afterwards took poison. She left a pathetic letter, in which she «aid: "1 do not blame my dear husband. We are the best of friends. I only ask that, he forgive mo. I cannot leave, my babies behind. lam perfectly sane. God forgive me!"
