SETTLEMENT ARRIVED AT.
LEADERS EXPRESS REGRET
(Received Last Night, 5.5 o'closk.) LONDON, December 6.
A settlement of the Welsh strike, winch had rendered thirty thousand miners idle, has been arrived at. After Mr Thomas had addressed a meeting of Llanelly drivers, Reynolds, and James, who commenced the strike, signed an expression of regret, which was forwarded to the railway company. The meeting warned the drivers that unless they signed they might be thrown over.
The settlement stipulates that the strikers, with the exception of Reynolds and James, shall not be penalised.
