IN WHARF LABOURERS DISPUTE IMPORTANT POINTS SETTLED. (Received Last Night, 10.10 o'clock.) SYDNEY, Sept. 23. The award of the Wages Board, which dealt with the late wharf-lab-ourers' trouble, has been issued. The award fixes the number of bags of chaff to be carried on a truck at four and heavy goods at two. It stipulates that not" less than six men do the work of trucking to and from the hatch of the vessel, and that the' men must not be compelled to carry salt. A number of other disputed points are also fixed 1 , in reference to the engaging of men and the working of cargo. . The award operates to September, 1915.
