RAILWAY TROUBLES.
, MOTOR TRAFFIC FAVOURED
'Times' — 'Sydney Sun' Special Cables. (Received Last Night, 5.5 o'clock.) LONDON, Sept. The Times, in an article dealing with the prevailing unrest amongst railwaymen, points out that at one time British traders depended entirely on the railways, but now the post office conveys mails by road on motor vehicles from London to Bristol, Birmingham, Cambridge, Dover and elsewhere. The cost is lower, and the mails are carried with sreater despatch than by the railways. Other Government departments are using similar methods.
