Caselberg was re-eleqted chairman for the ensuing : - year. The treasurer reported receipts for the month amounting to £94 6s 9d; and expenditure £66 14s 10s. The debit balance at the bank at date stood at £229 16s Bd. It was decided, on. the motion of Mr Cooper, that it be a recommendation to the new. Members' Committee to. encoiir- ■■ age canvassing for life members. The secretary was instructed to issue ' reminders re subscriptions in three, months. Other business of a routine character was transacted.

The Agricultural Committee's report was read. Mr E, Harper was re-elected chairman for the ensuing year. Messrs D. McGregor and A. B.- Wood were appointed to meet officers of the Agricultural Department and endeavour to secure a departmental display of produce from this and outside districts at the next Solway show. It was resolved that, as there* are many matters to be brouglit "before the proposed new Board of Agriculture, the Government be asked to bring forward tho necessary legislation Tor setting .up the board with as little delay as possible. The secretary was instructed to write Mr O. de S. Bayliss and ask him to visit Musterton, and ask him if the department will provide sufficient seed and manure to plant five acres. It was decided to recommend that a library be established in the association's rooms, and that a vote of £5 be made towards procuring periodicals.
