(By Own Correspondent.) The well-known "Bannockburn" Estate, at Gladstone, was submitted to auction on Saturday, and realisi . £l6 per acre. Mr Robert Grant was the purchaser. There are 432 acres in the estate, which was sold in accordance with the will' of the lata Mrs M. Grant. . . Mr; Ellis.. Goodin • has been appointed dog registrar for the Borough of Carterton. All owners of unregistered dogs after April 7th are to be prosecuted. The first race under the auspices of the. Caiterton Homing Pigeon Club was flown on Saturday from Gross Creek, young birds only - competing; T. H. Hughes' Killicranckie was first,. 34min 3sec; J. M.
