MINING ACCIDENT
THIRTEEN LIVES LOST. (Received Last Night, 5.5 o'clock.) LONDON, February 8. A chain attached to a tank containing 800 gallons of water at the Bolsover Colliery broke, and crashed 160 yards, killing and drowning thirteen men who were engaged in sinking a shaft. Five workers were rescued.
