SUCCESSFUL EXPERIMENTS. (Received Last Night, 5.5. o'clock.) DELHi, February 8 . The researches of Mr Howard, Government Botanist at Passa, show that wheat, with milling qualities similar to the best on the English markets, may be prown in the Behar district, with a large yield per acre, and without manuring. Irrigation experiments 'in other parts have been most successful, and have led to a large demand for Pasa wheats. CHEMISTS PROTES i? AGAINST ONEROUS, TAXATION. (Received Last Night. 5. oo'elock.) BUENOS AYRES. Fern-nary 8. Chemists, throughout the- Argentine, have closed their premises, as a protest against the onerous tax on'pharmaceutical preparations and perfumes. Hairdresser?., and other tradesmen are supporting the chemists.
