MELBOURNE POISONING CASE. (Received Last Night, 5.5 o'clock.) MELBOURNE, February 8 ' "Walter James Anderson has been charged with murdering Frederick John Flint, who was poisoned by eating jam containing strychnine. Anderson is a married man, and made love unsuccessfully to a girl who was keeping company with Flint's mate.. The jury disagreed, and Anderson was remanded.
TO BRISTOL UNIVERSITY. (Received Last Night, 5.5 o'clock.) LONDON, February 8. Messrs Georgo and Henry Wills, of tho well-known tobacco firm, have given £150,000 to complete the University of Bristol, in memory of their late father, who contributed'£loo,ooo. Mr W. Wills, another son, contributed £200,000 towards tho same project,
