I and had attempted to crawl behind ' one of tho cows to dO ( something wittfi the leg-rope. The cow, resenting this, kicked the lad on the top of the head, making a nasty gash, and also bruising him on tho body. The sufferer was at once driven in to Masterton, where the doctor ordered his immediate removal to the hospital. At the time of writing there is little improvement in the hoy's condition.
