MANDATES OF LABOUR
LESSEN THE BIHTHRATE. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) CHRISTCHUBCH, Last Night. At a. largely attended 'meeting of the General Labourers' Union tonight, the following motion was unanimously agreed to: "That this Union viows with disgust the prosecuting of boys two or three times for one offence, the taking away of their civic rights and the gamisheeing of their wages, and urges upon the citizens to do all in (heir power to lessen the birthrate, until the Defence Act is repealed."
