! HOX HEATON-RHODES | INTERVIEWED. I THE QUESTION' OF POSTAL NOTES. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) CHRISTCHURCH, Last Night. The remarks of tlio Hon. 0. E. Fraser, Commonwealth PostmafterGeneral, as contained in a cable message from Melbourne to-day, were , brought under tlu> notice of the Hon. R. Heaton Rhodes, Postmaster-Gen-eral of New Zealand. Mr Rhodes said that the reference in the cable message to the cheapening of rates on postal notes was an error. The matter discussed between the two Post-masters-General was the question off (the interchange of postal .notes be(tweon the Commonwealth and the Dominion, or the acceptance by " the Commonwealth of British postal notes issued in New Zealand'. At present sums of money cannot be sent from , the Dominion to Australia by means of postal notes. and the proposals above referred to were discussed. Mr R.liodes added' that Mi' Fraser and himself were negotiating with regard to the introduction of wireless telegraphy between Australia and New Zealand, but it wa.s , questionable' , whether wireless could be used' for ! commercial purposes. The matter ; still- under consideration, and some arrangement might be'arrived at. "
