WEDDING BELLS
BUftNS-BIIIDEN. A very quiet but pretty wedding was solemnised in St. Matthew'sChurch, Masterton, yesterday morning. Tine contracting parties wear© Mi- Merviin. Burns, son of Mrs E. Burns, Late of Hoimebush, and Miss ! Julia Briden, second daughter of Mr |J. C. Briden, of this town. The . ceremony was performed bv the Rev H, Watson. Mr H. Burns/brother of the. Imdegrcom, acted as best man, and the hride was attended By 'her sister, Miss Alice Briden. Tho bride, who was given away hv her farther' was charmingly attired in » co-earo. cloth tailor-made costume, trimmed with silk braid, and -wore a large ihat trimmed with white ostrich feathers. The bridemaid wore a champagne poplin dress, with satin trimmings, and hat to match. The happy couple received numerous and costly presents, and they left amid showers*of confetti for tho south'.
