SIXTH BIG BLAZE.

SASH AND DOOR FACTORY DESTROYED. By Telegraph—Press Association. PALMERSTON N., April 13. The sixtn big blaze within a week occurred just after 4 o'clock, this morning, when the Palmerston Sash and Door Company's large factory in Albert street was completely demolished.

The fire had a great hold, and was bursting out from all parts of the building when discovered, and the roof was commencing to fall in when the brigade arrived on the scene. Everything in the factory, including a large plant of up-to-date machinery and a big stock of sashfTS, doors, and dressed timber, was completely destroyed. The night watchman was through the building half an hour before the outbreak, and saw nothing. Those on the scene early declare that the fire broke out in three places at once. There are evidences of a man having slept in the stable adjacent to the destroyed building. The factory was one of Palraeraton v s historical buildings. It was erected as a sawmill 35 years ago. Seventeen years ago it was converted into a sash and door factory, and four years since it was enlarged and brought up to date with new machineiy.
