Befothe steamer 'fomoana (which arrived 1 here yesterday from London) rounded the Gape,, while five hundred miles of?,, two sailors reported that they saw a drifing ship's boat, submerged by the stern. Before the chief officer's attention could be called to the object the steamer had forged s? far ahead that it was indistinguishable. The officer did not go back, because he though the sailors had seen a dead fish.
