* : By Telegraph—Press Association. WELLINGTON, March 8. The following is Captain Edwin's weather forecast to 3 p.m. to morrow : —Strong easterly winds are probable north of Auckland; westerly winds thence to Hokitika and Lyttelton, and northerly strong to gale thence southwards; indications for rain north of Auckland, also on West Coast and southern districts of South Island; expect a falling barometer and a decided change in the weather [ everywhere soon.
