THE DAVIS CUP. Received March 3, 8.10 a.m. LONDON, March 2. America anl the British Isles have challenged for the Davis Cup, held by Australasia. THE PRELIMINARY TIE. Received March 3, 9.45 a.m. SYDNriY, March 3. The Tennis Association of Australasia has decided that the preliminary tae of the Davis Cup must be played on such date as will allow the challenge round to be contested in Sydney ; between 10th November and 10th I December next.
