Mr H. Jensen, of Mauriceville West, will shortly leave on a visit to Denmark after an absence of 37 years. Mr Henry Hoare, M.1.C.E., who has had experience in Australia, has been appointed engineer, manager and secretary of thd Gisborne Gaa Company. In recognition of her nineteen years' .service, Miss Stewart, the retiring lady superintendent of the Gisborne Hospital, has been granted three months' leave of absence on full pay. Thp wedding was solemnised at Knox Church, Masterton, yesterday, of Mr John B. Rue, fourth son of the late Mr Wm. Rue, Government Inspector of Mines, Broken Hill, and Miss May Victoria Doe, youngest daughter of Mr Ephraim Doe, of Wilmont, Tasmania. The bride was given away by Mr C. W. Anderson, and was attired in a champagne silk frock with hat to match, also carrying a shower bouquet. Miss Clara Doe, her sister, acted as bridesmaid. Mr C. H. Gardner was best man, the Rev. A. T. Thompson performing the ceremony. Mr Rue, who is attached to the staff of the "Wairarapa Daily Times," wss presented by the staff with a silver and oak salad bowl in honour of the wedding.
