THE RELIEF FUND.
WELLINGTON, March 1. A meeting in connection with the Penguin Relief Fund was held to-day. The total in hard is £1,031. This includes £IOO from the Huddart Parker Company, but does not include any Government subsidy. About £IOO has been spent in relieving cases of urgent need. An active canvass is to be made to augment the fund.
