Business Notices. MASTERTON COUNTY. LANSDOWNE HIGH PRESSURE WATER SUPPLY. "jV!"OTICE ' s hereby given of the intention of the Mastertun County Council to proceed with the construction of the above Water Supply. From the intake which is situated in Section 11. B. XIII., Kopuaranga, the water will be brought from the Ruamahanga river in open race in a southerly direction through the properties abutting on and adjacent to the Waingawa to Camp Road, vvill be conveyed in pipes round the eastern margin of the Lansdowne Reservoir and delivered at the pumping station on the lower side of the Lansdowne Dam. Thence it will be pumped to a reservoir on the top of Lansdowne Hill, and from this reservoir the main and service pipes will be laid. The estate or interest in lar.d which the Council proposes to acquire in connection with this Water Supply embraces the following: The right of entry for a distance of 25 links on either side of the main race; the right of entry to any private land upon, over or under which it may be necessary to lay pipes in connection with this water supply, for the purposes of construction, maintenance or repairs; the freehold of 3 roods 38.9 perches nf land being parts of sections 76, 78 Block 1., Otahona S.D., the property of Mrs Mary Ellen Murray, for a pumping station; the freehold of 24.1 perches of land being part of section 72 in the same Block and Survey District, the property of Mrs Annie P. Williams, with a right-of-way thereto, from Manuka Street, 30 links wide, for the construe;; tion of a distributing reservoir. The Council proposes also to acquire the right to use the water of the Lansdowne Reservoir for pumping purposes.

A plan of the said race and of the pipe reticulation, pumping station, and reservoir are deposited for public inspection at the Magistrate's Courthouse, Masterton. Ail persons affected by the execution of the said works, or the taking of the said lands, or the acquiring of the said easement, having any well grounded objection thereto, must within 14 days from date hereof lodge such objection in writing at tiie said Courthouse, and send a copy thereof to the office of the Council, Chapel Street, Masterton.
