MURDEROUS ASSAULT. FARMER AND HIS WIFE SERIOUSLY INJURED. ASSAILANT COMMITS SUICIDE. Received February 4, 12.47 a.m. SYDNEY, February 3. A half-caste named Boswell murderously assaulted the wife of a farmer named Hogan with an axe. The woman is in a precarious condition. " He then shot her husband through the jaw. Both have been taken to the hospital. Boswell escaped, but was subsequently found dead, four miles away, with his throat cut.
