THE EJECTED MEM3ER. By Telegraph -Prsss Association. NAPIER, August 17. As the outcome of proceedings at Friday's meeting of the Hawke's Bay Land Born, Mr Eustace Lane, the member who was ejected from the meeting for refusing to withdraw a remark which was objected to, has forwarde:] a Setter ta the chairman, in the course of which he says: — "Hereby I be? to notify you that any decisions the Board came to yesterday in my absence are illegal: that you are liable for an action of inciting to assault, and Mr Taylor and Mr Thomson for assault As, however, I car.-' ri6t wne/jot about the insult to my* person, and as I endorse all the cecisions the Board came to in my absence, with one exception, it is cmlv with regard to the interests of the one Crown tenant involved tnat I protest." Mr Lane then proceeds to state the grounds of his protest against the decisions in question.
