METEOROLOGICAL.
At 9 a.m. yesterday Captain Edwin issued the following forcast for the subsequent 24 hours — Wind.—Moderate' to strong from the southeastward at all places north of East Cape, Cambridge, and Maim kau Heads, but from the westward thence to Napier; strong to gale from the northward after 16 hours elsewhere. Barometer. Little movement !' northward of Napier and New Plymouth ; fall everywhere else. Rain.—There are some indications for rain at places southward of Napier and New Plymouth. Warning signal for northerly gale is exhibited at*. Nugget Point, and will be shown at Farewell Spit, Cape Foulwind, and Cap? Campbell after sunrise;
