The medical evidence given at the Goolds' trial was to the effect that Go-old was a degenerate, and not thoroughly responsible for his actions. The evidence also showed that more than one person participated in the murder. GOOLD TO BE IMPRISONED FOR LIFE. MRS GOOLD SENTENCED TO DEATH. Received December 5, 10.45 p.m. MONTE CARLO, December 5. In the case against Goold extenuating circumstances were found, and he was sentenced to hard labour for life. His wife was sentenced to death.
