Mr W. H. I«. Galwey, manager of the local branch of the Bank of NewSouth Wales, has been transferred to the Auckland branch in the capacity of relieving manager for an extended term. Mr A. Paul, "of the Inspectors' office, Wellington, has been appointed ' acting-manager of the Masterton branch, and will*arrive here in the course of a few days. Mr T. Butler, of Carterton, who has returned from a trip to the Old Country extending over seven months, is to be welcomed hume by the members of the Carterton Methodist Church at a social on Tuesday evening next.
