FATAL RAILWAY ACCIDENT.
CARRIAGES PRECIPITATED OVER EMBANKMENT.
SIX PASSENGERS KILLED. Received November 3, 4.30 p.m. BERLIN; November 2. The front portion of a train, consisting of passenger coaches, became derailed owing to the slippery condition of the rails at a spot near Cologne, and were precipitated over an embankment".
The rear portion of the train, consisting of trucks laden with stone, crashed on top of the passenger coaches.
The driver of the train and six passengers were killed under the pressure, while fourteen others were injured.
