From-Our Own Correspondent. The fortnightly meeting of the Carterton Heart of Oak Lodge I. 0.0. F., M.U., was held on Wednesday even- , ing, BrOy.Lamb, N.--G., presiding. Routine business was transacted. A meeting of the committee oj the 4 -Carterton School was held, on = Wednesday, evening, to consider the insanitary condition of the old school buildings. Mr John Brown was in the chair. The headmaster, Mr A. N. Burns, 8.A., placed a report liefore the committee showing the cor- • rect state.of afFairs, and pointing out some of the rumours which had been . circulated concerning the were without' foundation. The school was being thoroughly disinfected, and ,he recommended that the outbuildings should be washed periodically with lime and also that Hhe walls v bf ,the school be sprayed once a week. The , meeting decided that the school should not be- reopened until it had been placed in a sanitary condition.
