MAGISTRATE CHARGED WITH FORGERY.

Received October 31, 8.46 a.m. LONDON, October 30. The Right Hon. Joseph. Morley's stepson, John Ayling, a ruaeistrate, and late partner in the firm of Constable and Co., publishers, of Edinburgh, has been remanded on charges of forging the names of Mc Morley, and Mr W. Blackie to two bills, totalling £6,000. Ayling appeared in court with his throat bandaged, after making an alleged attempt to commit suicide. The liabilities of Ayling amount to £40,000 largely due to Rhodesiau speculations.
