CRICKET.
H. Beechey, the ex - Carterton player, who is now residing in Auck • land, has joined the City Club. Playing for City against Parnell, last Saturday, he was run out before he had scored. The cricket season will open in Masterton, this afternoon, when Carlton will meet Star, and W.F.C.A. will play Carterton. Keen interest is being taken in the sport, and some good cricket should be witnessed. Carterton will be represented against W.F.C.A. to-day by C. Williams, Hart, Fairbother (2), Rev. Elliott, Phelps, Lindop, Hutchinson, I Pulsford and Armstrong.
