ALBION FOOTBALL CLUB.
A general meeting of members of the Albion Football Olub was held in the Empire Hotel, last evening. Mr J. Wiokens presided. There were 2i members present. It was deoided to hold the annual social and danoe of the Olub in the Foresters' Jtjall at an early date. The following were elected a committee to carry out the arrangements:—Messrs 1. O'Connor, J. Bradbury, W. Hogg, J. Wiokens and T. Messrß F. O'Connor and 0. Corbett were eleoted joint secretaries in connection with the sooial. During the evening Mr A. Dawes, captain of the Senior team, who was recently married, was presented by Mr h. O'Connor on behalf of the Ulub, with a handsome set of can era and oruet stand. The speaker, in an appropriate speech, asked Mr Dawes to accept the present as a token of the Club's goodwill. Mr Dawes, in a neat speech, thanked the members for their gift on behalf of himsslf and his wife. The health of Mr and "Mrs Dawes was proposed by Mr 0. Corbett, and enthusiastically drunk.
