HOCKEY.
KIA KAHA A v. W.P.O.A. The final match itn the Major Cup Competition was played on Lansdowne, yesterday afternoon, between Kara A and W.F.C.A. teams. The game resulted in a win for the Km Kaba A teaji by 3 goals to nil. Williams (2) and Hughes shot the goals. Mr S. Noble-Campbell was referee. SEVEN-ASIDE TOURNAMENT. A seven-aside hockey tournament has been arranged the Wairarapa Association to be played at Lansdowuo on Thursday next. The play, which will commence at 2.30 p.m., will be confined to two spells of five minutes each, but in tbe event of no score being registered an extra five minutes will be played. Messrs F. Riuhards and S. Noble-Campbell will act as referees. All teams mustbeiominated with the secrotary (Mr J. 13. Rue) unt later than 6 p.m. on Monday next. Iu the evening a ro-um'on of hookey players will be hold.
RAUPO v. HUIA. A match was played on tho School ground, yesterday afternoon, between the Hnia and Raupu teams. It was a really good exhibition of hockey, and very «venly contested. The result was a win for the Huias by two goal 3to nil. The winners showed good form and combination, and next season if they maintain tboir present standard of olay they should be hard to beat for the Shield. The goals were scored by Misses M. Hampton and M. Smith. Besides the goalbitlors Misses R. Hooper, |.L. Barker, E. Petersen and M. Wagg played well for tho winners. Misses Heyboe, Dean, E. Carpenter, V. Carpenter, B. East ; hope and Baruett, did good work for tbe Raupos. Mr F. Richards was referee.
