MUSICAL EXAMINATIONS.

THE SUCCESSFUL MASTERTON' CANDIDATES. The results of the musical examinations held in Masterton iu Juue last, under the auspices of 'he Associated Board of the R.A.M. and R.C.M. Loudon, have been received by the local honorary representative of the Board, A. B. Wallace. Seventeen candidates presented themselves, and thirteen passed—a percentage of about 77. This result mast be considered satisfactory, as it is the flist examination hold in Masterton under the auspices of„the Associated Buurd. The examiner cousiders that the ftiastertou passes were excellent, the percentage being about equal to that of older established centres. The atanda~d of the work generally compares favour ably with Australia.
