The Sveaborg outbreak originated 'over an incident at a sailor's funeral. The comrades of the sailor in the torpedo service deolared that he died of overwork and maltreatment. Seeing that the mutinous complaints were spreading over the garrison the naval commandant ordered the meu who had attended the fuaeial to be disarmed and 200 arrested. The attempt at arrest failed, and the mutineers seized the place and -captured the officers. Soon the mutineers were joined by the bnlb of the navy service. They seized the majority of the forts with little resistance, as the artillerymen were also mutinous. When the red flag waH hoisted the loyal batteries and loyal ships bombarded the mutineers. The latter responded with artillery rifles, bot they suffered from the heavy tire of the infantry, and Cossacks, who were posted on a rocky mainland across a narrow channel. PETERSBURG, August 2. At the outset of the outbreak at "bveaborg the commander of the sappers was shot. ( The wounded were thrown into the sea, where they were stonea to death. General Agieff, commander of the fortress artillei-ys was wounded and made a prisoner. Thw mutineers possess forty qaiokflrers, and muob ammunition. A oannonade was kept up throughout yesterday. The warships Slara and Taarevitch have arrived, and have joined the loyal troops iu the bombardment of the Sveaborg fortress, whiah the mutineers are still holding. At night the mutineers' ohief powder magazine blew up. GREAT EXCITEMENT AT KRONSTADT. APPROACH OP MUTINOUS SHIPS. HASTY PRECAUTIONS BEING TAKEN. Reoeived August 2, 9.27 p.m. ST. PETERSBURG, August 2. There is great excitement at Kronstadt at the rataoured approach of mntinous Bhips from Revel and Helsingfors. Thfi revolutionary emissaries are endeavouring to persuade other crews to revolt. Hasty precautions are being taken against an outbreak. The breechblocks of some of the warships guns have been removed. Troops have boarded other warships. NAVAL REPAIRING WORKS TORPEDOED.

Prior to the Commander ordering the arrest of the men attending,the funeral of the sailor the torpedo boat Skatudden torpedoed the naval repairing works. One hundred and ten of the mutineers on the Skatudden, and eleven oivUiaDs,have been captured End disarmed. A white flag is now visible on one of the rebel forta. It is reported later that three cruisers and several hundred nfmed oivilians have joined the mutineers.
