DEPOT "A" AGAIN ' DEFEATED. COLTS MASTER THE BOWLING. The Upper Hutt League resumed its matches last week, after a fortnight's spell, and some very good displays were witnessed by the cricket "fans" present. Colts, the youngest team in the League, showed that they are a power to be reckoned with, by defeating Depot "A" on the first innings. Auckram and W. E. Cooper were no doubt the heroes of the match, as they put on 75 runs for the sixth wicket, which is a record as far as this league is concerned, and, what is more, they were needed at the time. Skipper Irvine, with his 56, gave his side a good start off, and then "Darcey" came to light with 56, a crowning achievement. Young Bill Cooper played a great game and contributed his full quota of effort. For Depot "A" Aiken's score of 48 was one outstanding, and great credit is due to him for his splendid display. Sexton, who is also a tower of strength to the Depot, gave a fine exhibition of big hitting and included in his score were some glorious sixes. Bowling for the winners, Dunn's last four wickets only cost one run, but his average was 5/28, Smith 4/76. For Depot "A," Aiken took 3/24, and Sexton 3/44. Other matches in the league were as follows: Trentham defeated Methodist. Ordnance defeated Up-

per Hutt in the first innings by 23 runs. Ordnance 140 (Allerdyce 76), Upper Hutt (Murray 51 not out) . Dalton took 3 wickets for 40 runs for Ordnance. Depot "B" defeated St. Josephs outright.
