GRAIN AND PRODUCE REPORT. Dalgety and Company, Ltd., roport as follows: — Oats—There has been a good inquiry of late for seed varieties, but apart from this and local feed requirements, very few lines have changed hands. Owing to the cut in railway sorvice, operations have been practically confined to stocks in store. We quote— Prime 6 miling is 3d to 4s 4d, good to best feed 4s to 4s 2d, medium to good 3s 9d to 4s, light and inferior from 3s 3d per bushel (sacks extra). Wheat.—Very little wheat has been coming of late. Millers having stocks are unable to comply with the restrictions placed on the carriage of same by the Railway Department. Fowl wheat is meeting ready sale at full rates. Potatoes—Market continues to rule firm, practically all the consignments are coming from northern districts. Many of the lots arriving are showing signs of frost and require re-picking. Best freshly picked lines are in most request. Seed lines are in short supply and strongy enquired for. We quoteBest freshly picked tables £lO to £lO 10s, medium to good £9 to £9 15b, others from £7 per ton (sacks in) Chaff.—Consignments have been coming forward steadily during the past week. Feeders' requirements being largely filled, sales of medium quality chaff has been offering for which the demand is slacker.
