The ballot for the Gladbrook runs, which was cut up for the settlement of returned soldiers, look place on Wednesday afternoon. David Campbell Kidd, Brown St., Timaru, was the successful applicant. For liun X'o. 507, 2344 acres, together with homestead site of 511 acres, there were 157 applications. David Chittock, of IS New street, Musselburgh, was the successful applicant.. For I!un Xo. 539, SO6O acres, together with 455 acres for a homestead site, there were 11S applicants.
