DEMOBILISATION SCHEME IN HAND. London, Sept. 19. • Mr Asquith, replying to a deputation of Labour representatives, said that demobilisation must bo gradual, and it would include a period on furlough on full pay. 'l'he Government, he added, hope to establish machinery which will operate immediately peace is declared.
