Mr J. B. Roberts (one of the auditors), congratulated Mr McCaw on the very satisfactory manner in which the aeounts of the club had been kept. Referring to the strictures in the report in regard to lack of attendance at their ordinary meetings, he confessed that he had not been a very Kood attender himself but ho recognised that if they wished to keep tho club u real live institution they would have to mend their ways in this regard.

The Chairman then tendered the resignation of the executive and in doing sa thanked the members for the hearty support given him during his term, of office. Mr Norrie (mar--nger) suitably acknowledged this latter vote.

Increase in Subscriptions. The Chairman said the question of members' subscriptions to £1 Is had been mooted and suggested that now would be an appropriate time to ilucnss it. Mr W. Cameron pointed out that by I heir constitution and rules no business apart from the considering of their bal-ance-sheet and the appointment of an executive could be considered at •m ani.ual meeting. The subject «as accordingly deferral u> the ordinary meeting. The " New Zealand Farmer." Mr Ale Caw said that owing to the poor attendance at the club's meetings il'.ring the year not much benefit was derived from their subscription to the "New Zealand Farmer." He suggested that this be taken over by some of their leisured members who might make a study of some of the subjects dealt with and bring them forward for discussion at their meetings. Tho Chairman thought the question worth considering and if adopted would certainly tend to malt? tluir meetings interesting.
