CABLEGRAMS TO OUR WOUNDED The' following amended instructions have been issued by the Telegraph Department in regard to communicating with member* of our Expeditionary Force at the front : (A). Three free telegrams of inquiry about any member of the Expeditionary Forces reported wounded seriously or dangerously wounded or those officially reported to be suffering from disease may l sent if addressed to the Secretary ol the General Poat Office. The inquirymnst be i briefly worded and must be confined to asking about the condition of the wounded or sick person. It must contain full information for the identification of that person, including rank, name, regimental number, and name of unit. In the cane of the navy the Christian name and surname of thr person, his rank or rating, his official <>< divisional number, and the name of the ship 01 establishment. All enqniues cm cerning persons at the seat of war are made through the High Commissioner. The foregoing does not reler 10 soldiers reports' ' slightly wounded. (B) Anyone may send a week-end menI sage on the subject of a wounded soldier, addressed—to the soldier himself; or to f private persoa, care of the High Commissioner, London, Week-end messages enquiring after the health of wounded wildieis, or conveying sympathetic, message* for them are free from the requirements of a minimum rate.
