Our Greenfield friendturned out in full forco to assist us, and, thanks to their efforts, tho concert went off successfully. The door takings amounted to about £ll 10s, and this amount, with the subscriptions yot to 001110 in, will pay off the debt on the hall. The concert programme consisted of the following items: Songs, Mrs Pitt, Miss McKen'ie, Master Nehoff, and Messrs Jas. Smith, McGown, Lucas, Hardy, Pitt, Gcddcs, Fairburn, and Blair ; duet, Mrs G. E. Cross and Mr Fairburn ; recitations, • Miss Thomson and Mr Keonan. Tho accompaniments were played by Misses Smith, Allen and Anderson. After supper had been partaken of dancing commenced and was kopt going till an early hour, the music being supplied by Messrs Reynolds, Nehoff, and Edwards. Removals from the District.

Our district is losing two of its popular sittleis, Mr R. H. Fairbairn and Mr J. A. Hnyman- Both these gentlemen will be very much missed as they could always In' depended on to assist in anything that was for the benefit of that district. Mr Fairburn ig taking up a smaller farm near Out ram us his son has bci'ii accepted for cctivo service. Mr Haynian has given up fanning and is settling nearer town. The good wishes of this neighbourhood will follow those gentlemen and their families to their new homes.
