Patriotic Concert and Dance

A most successful concert and; dance, in aid of the British and Belgian ileiief I' Uiid, was hold in the schoolroom, Xuapeta West, on I'riday evening, ina weather was most lavourable ana the attendance was very large. Mr H. Cameron occupied the chair. Ihe programme, which was rather a large one, was got through, in capital style, all the performers being in good voice, encores being' frequent. The school children, who had been, specially prepared by Mrs J. k. Smith, acquitted themselves in a [manner that not only surprised but met with the hearty appreciation of one and all. ihe local talent was very ably assisted by Mr IJ.1 J . and Miss L.
