The Council has embarked on the >picture business in order to find suiuc of the money for payment of interest on the Town Hall. The annual concert in aid oi St. Patrick s School will take place on Friday night in the schoolroom. A very attractive programme has been arranged and quae apart from the worthy nature of. the object patrons are assured oi a JirsL-class evening's entertainment.

At the Presbyterian services at Lawrence, Blue Spur, and Clark's .flat on Sunday a special collection was taken up on behalf of tlie British and Belgian Belief Funds. A very generous response to the appeal was the result the total sum taken up amounting to 3s 7d. At the two services -at Lawrence the collections amounted to Xsi 9s 3d, the balance being contributed at the afternoon services at Blue Spur and Clarks h'lat. si. Patrick's tichool breaks up lor the summer vacation on Monday next. There will be no prizes this year,'the .chddren having gladly given up these in order that the money usuully'Bpent on them might be used to assist the poor and distressed Belgians. A neatly mounted Certificate of Merit will, however, be presented to the successful pupils and this records the fact lhat the prizes were sacriticed for the object stated above. it is scarcely necessary to remind our readers that the (.ienerul Election Poll takes place to-morrow (.Thursdayj.
