Proposed Alterations to County Boundaries

At Tuesday's meeting of the Bruce County Council the resolution passed at last meeting of the Tuapos.a County in reference to the inclusion of por tiau of tne Creeniield Settlement and Waitahuna West district within the Tuapeka County was read. Air lying said the proper course woukt be to ojject to any portion of the area mentioned being transferred »n the ground that tSruce would be the suuerer. He would move in that direction. The majority oi the settlers oujected. There was the further fact that there wus no community oi interest on the paii ot the area mentioned with iuapona. Hrobably.thu Tuapeka Council would ask for a Commission of inquiry, and if that were granted then Llru.ce could produce evidence in support of their objections.—Air Haggart seconded the motion, which was carried.
