WELLINGTON, August 13. An important clvango in the education policy of th>) 'Raman Catholic Church in Wellington is being brought into operation. In future the charge and conduct of schools will be transferred from the clergy and undertaken by tho authorities of the Hibernian Society, ivvhoso representatives from thij various branches will constitute practically an education board, with school committees from the branches. The new body will be responsible for the salaries of the Marist Brothers, anil it is conducting a vigorous canvas for funds to cover the school fees of these children whose panels are unablo to pay. In time It is hoped to build up a reserve fund siillieicnt to make all primary Catholic schools free.
