A team from the Lawrence Senior Cadets will meet the local School team at' Glasgow Park this afternoon, commencing at 3.30. The following is tho Cadet team):—Forwards : Fitzgerald, Craig, Hopkins, Rocart, Stevens, Gibson, Jones, Dimmock : backs, D. McNab, Casey, Matthews, Sinclair, Miller. Tuckey, Sam Miller. It is pleasing to note that another football club has been foimjed and that the Cadets have formed suoh a club. !t is a sign that they are taking n. real practical interest in their carps which cannot but make for good.—High School team : Lawrence, Macdonald, Ferguson, Roughan, Hopkins, Bennetts, Cain, Foster, McNab, MoStay, Hartstonge (2), Robertson, Nichols, Sandys ; emergencies, McNab, PottsThe local High School defeated the Balclutha High School bv 2(7 point" to 9 on the balclutha ground on Saturday. The concluding match for the (Hugo Rugby banner between the Uni\«rsitv and Southern clubs took place on the Caledonian ground, IHmedin, on Saturday, and attracted a record attendance. Southern won the toss and decided to play against the slight wind. With this slight advantage 'Varsitv w< frqrjuentlv hard pressed and it w„s only towards the latter part of the spell that thev succeeded in gaining a try which was converted. At the beg nning of the second spell the wind had increased considerablv and rain commenced to fall, and before ten minutes had passed the' Southerns had succeeded in scoring 11 points. Later another try was scored by Southern who were thus winners of itliie match (and the premiership] by 14 points to 8.
