STEVENSON'S PICTURES.

There was an excellent attendance at Stevenson's Pictures in the Town Hall on Wednesday night. A capital programme of film's was screwed, the especial feature being " The Siege of Calais," a magnificent coloured picture which occupied nearly tho whole of the secoad part, it crenw fully up to representation and the audience showed its appreciation of its merits by frequently applauding the various seen's as they passed before them. Tlie remainder of the programme was also of a bright and interesting character, but two of the pictures stand o ut as being worthy «f special ni.-iition. These were the " National Hunt Club Steeplechase" which provided no end of thrill as rider after rider came a cropper at the various jumps and "' The Inner "Mind " which depicted a' hypnotic detective's methods in solving the mystery oi *he disappearance of a famous diamond. Tho excellent pianoforte accompaniments provided by Mil Jones added considerably to the enjoyment of the various pictures. aiv all-new programme will bo submitted next Wednesday.
