WAITAHUNA BRASS BAND.

ANNUAL MEETING. The annual mooting of the Waitahuna Brass Band was held in the Bandroom on Tuesday evening, With inst., when there was a good attendance of members, Mr Pringle (President) in the chair. Ecport and Balance-sheet,

Mr F. Wlhelan read the report and balance-sheet as follows

" I have much pleasure in submitting the report and balance-sheet for year 1909-10, which shows the band to be in a very healthy condition. The year was commenced -with a debit of 1£65 and, thanks to the energy of tho ladies in raising funds, the Band is now in the happy position of showing a small credit balance. This, considering our heavy initial outlay, und that our annual expenses ara considerable, must be considered very satisfactory, and no doubt in a most practical way reflects the toolings of the Waitahulna public towards their Band. Mr Laidlaw, our conductor, still continues to do good work and has the Band right on concert pitch. Two of our original members have left the Band during tho current year, viz., Mr Blair who has boon promoted to Bannockburn school) and Mr W. Livingston (who on account of business pressure regrets liis inability to attend practice). We are now commencing a beginners' class to further strengthen tho Band."
