LAWRENCE STAR FOOTBALL CLUB.

The annual meeting of the above Clubwas held in the Town Hall on Monday eveninsr, when there was a very satisfactory attendance, the President (Mr Eyes) being in the chair. The Secretary (Mr Bryant) read the balance-sheet, which showed the receipts for last season to have been £15 13s lOd and the expenditure £14 13s 6d, leaving cash in hand to the amount of £1 0s 4d. Against this, however, the Club had outstanding liabilities to the amount of £14 10s 6d. — After some discussion as to the financial position the balance-sheet as submitted was approved. The following office-bearers for the ensuing season were then appointed : — Patrons— Messrs Jas. Bennet and Jas. AJlen, M.H.R's. President— Mr A. M. Eyes (reappointed). Vice-presidents — Dr Sutherland, Messrs Jas. Kelleher, H. Hart, R. Montgomery, J. B. M'Kinlay, D. M. Lockhart, G. Leslie, W. M. Sinclair, B. Hart, C. Bel worthy, J. Norrie, A. Crooke, S. Fletcher, D. L. Christie, J. Airey, A. Clark, and A. Fearn. Secretary and Treasurer, Mr J. Bryant. Committee —Messrs W. Christie, R. Campbell, A. Wilkinson, Jas. Airey, J. Keileher, and President.

The subscription for the year was fixed at 5s for seniors and 3s for juniors, and it was resolved to give free membership to two high school pupils. The selection of Captain and Deputycaptain was left in abeyance till after the first practice match. The first practice was fixed for Wednesday, 17th inst., and the opening day for Wednesday, 24th inst. Messrs W. Christie and M. O'Connell were appointed to represent the Lawrence Club at Evans Flat meeting to advise merging of the Blue Spur and Evans Flat Club with the Lawrence Club, so that a thoroughly representative team might be secured for the district this season.

The secretary was instructed to write to the Caledonian Society asking for a remission of the rent due.

The President and Messrs Roscow and Kelleher were appointed a Match Committee.
