WAITAHUNA PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH.

The quarterly tn eting of the Waitahuna Presbyterian Church Committee was held on Thursday evening, 16th inst., the Rev. J. S. Reid in the chair. The meeting was opened with prayer. Feelinp reference was made by the Chairman and Mr Garden, and shared in by all members present, to Mr Livingston in his present illness and regret at his enforced absence from the meetings, he being a most active member, who always took a> deep interest in the welfare of the Church. On the motion of Mr Garden a unanimous vote of sympathy was passed with Mr Livingston in bis illness, and, at the same time, they were glad to {earn that he is on a fair way to recovery, ! It was resolved to hold the annual cburoh soiree on Wednesday, 16th April, Messrs Garden, York, and M'Ara being appointed a sub-committee to make all necessary arrangements. On the motion of Mr York a minute was recorded expressive of the committee's appreciation of the willing and valuable Bervices rendered to the Cburoh by Mr W. Auld during the years he was a member of the committee. The advisability of constituting a Deacon's Court in place of a committee was taken into consideration and allowed to stand over untiL [ next meeting.

Accounts amounting to aboat £4 10s were passed for payment. The meeting was closed with prayer.
