Messrs A. MORITZ3ON and Co., Dunedin, report (wholesale) as follows for the week ending January Btb, 1902 (all quotations subject to market fluctuations) :—

We would aak farmers (when sending samples) always to put a price on them, as bnysrs do not feel inclined to make offers.

Wheat.— The market is active. Fowl feed is in active demand. We quote — Best velvet 3s, best Tuscan 3s, medium 2s lid, red obaff 2s lid, fowls' wheat 2s lOd to 2s lid for bsst.

Oats are in bettor demand. Prime milling 2a 4d ; bright abort 2a 3*d to 2» 4d, medium and inferior la 8d to 2s 3d.

Barley— Feed sorts 2s to 2s 3d, melting 2« 4d to 3s, extra to 3s 6d.

Chaff— We quote prime £4 10s, medium £3 to £3 15 a per ton. Ryegrass— There is a keen demand. We quote — Farmer-dre ased, none offering; machinedressed 2s 9d to 3s 6d per bushel. Cockafoot, 2|d to 3*d for farmers' lota, and 3*d to 4}d for maobined, linseed £16 to £17— wanted,pressed straw £1 5a, clover bay £3 ss. Babbitskins— We offered a fair catalogue this week, when competition was good. We quote— Suckers and runners 3d to 4Jd, summers 6d to 8&d, autumns 9id to llid, outgoings 6Jd to 12* d, winters 14d to 17d, aeleoied 17£ d —sale every Monday. , Sheepskins— We quote— Pelts 6d to Is, orossbreds 2s to 3s 6a, balf breds 2s 3d to 4s 6d —sale every Tuesday. Hides 3Jd to s)d, aooording to weight and condition. We have a special inquiry and can guarantee the very top market prices. Tallow— Bough fat 13s 6d, rendered 16s to 20s. Horsehair Is Id to Is 2d.

Wool— We will bold oar firat sale of tbe season on January 9th. Wool for this sale should reaob oar stores not later than January 6tb.

Note— Country sales conducted on tbemost reaaonable terms. Crown Sheep Dip, tbe best in the market, 4s 6d per gallon. We supply rabbit and abeep netting and quote specially by the mile.
